To our members,

Clarke Electric Cooperative has a "Return to Work" plan in place effective June 1 as our employees return to work. The plan allows the cooperative to transition our workforce slowly and safely. We feel this is the best way to ensure we maintain healthy employees. We continue to promote social distancing, barriers where practical, wearing masks, frequent handwashing and disinfecting the workplace.  The office remains closed to the public at this time, until we feel comfortable with employee and member safety. We ask that you continue to interact with the cooperative by using the payment drop box and using our on-line services such as SmartHub and Veri-phone.

Our linemen have resumed normal construction and maintenance schedules while observing the CDC guidelines of social distancing. Keeping the lights on while keeping our employees and members safe is our priority during the pandemic. Thank you for observing the changes we have implemented and your continued support.

Clarke Electric will temporarily suspend late fees and service disconnections for non-payment until May 31, 2020. We encourage members to try to keep their accounts in good status; however, if you find yourself facing difficulties, we encourage you to contact CEC to see what payment options are available to you. We understand the importance of electrical service, especially during these uncertain times. This is one way we can help you, our members. The Iowa Utilities Board extended the winter moratorium date to May 30. If you know you will be experiencing difficulties paying your electric bill, please contact us to set up arrangements. We will keep you informed on procedural and or mandated changes that take place during this difficult time.
