Welcome to Clarke Electric Cooperative
Safety Driven • Energy Smart • Community Invested. Clarke Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit, member-owned electric cooperative utility located in Osceola, Iowa. Our cooperative serves 5,000 members in parts of eight counties and maintains 1,800 miles of line in south central Iowa. Formed in 1939, Clarke Electric Cooperative holds true to the original principles created by its founders. Today's board realizes success is not measured by the miles of line or the number of kilowatt-hours sold, but by the satisfaction of our member owners.
77 years later, Clarke Electric is still committed to providing member-owners with reliable electricity and top quality customer service.

Clarke Solar Farm Production
Watch the production of one of Iowa's first utility-scale solar farms! This site contains 1,296 solar panels and generates approximately 514,160 kWh of electricity, enough to power up to 515 homes. Clarke Electric Cooperative is partnering with our power provider, Central Iowa Power Cooperative, on the project. Construction and installation work was completed by Azimuth Energy LLC of St. Louis, Mo. We are proud to announce that the Clarke Solar Farm was energized and functioning as of Dec. 16, 2016.
